Series A E-commerce Supply Chain Company
AI Engineer#1470
North America · Fully Remote · Full-time
$180K–$230K base + equity
About the company
This Series A company is building a technology-enabled supply-chain platform for e-commerce brands. It connects manufacturing operations directly with consumer delivery, helping merchants reduce the time, cost, and working capital tied up in traditional shipping and 3PL cycles.
The business transitioned from D2C to B2B after identifying its supply-chain infrastructure as its strongest advantage. Revenue has doubled or tripled each year, and customers range from growing DTC brands to enterprise companies.
About the role
This is a founding-level IC role focused on building the company's first substantial layer of AI infrastructure and agentic automation.

What you'll do
- Build production agentic workflows that automate operational processes.
- Create reusable APIs, MCP tools, and platform components for other teams.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify and ship high-leverage automation opportunities.
- Integrate LLM APIs securely and reliably, with monitoring and observability.
- Establish practical patterns for scaling AI adoption across the company.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, including 1-2+ years building production AI systems.
- Experience shipping at least 10 agentic or LLM-powered workflows end to end.
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills, with comfort across backend and lightweight frontend work.
- Experience building APIs, tools, infrastructure, or documentation that others can use.
- Ownership of production AI systems, including deployment, reliability, security, and observability.
- Experience in e-commerce, logistics, 3PL, or a comparable operational B2B environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, agent orchestration, or evaluation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code.
Tech stack
Python, TypeScript, LLM APIs, Anthropic, OpenAI, APIs, MCP tooling, agentic workflows, RAG, vector databases, evaluation frameworks, and observability.
